Both members of PassPorter Boards, an internet community of fellow Disney fanatics, Lynn and Maureen struck up a friendship outside of the chat boards. They found they had much in common and soon were chatting frequently. We're not sure who suggested it but they soon decided to meet at Walt Disney World for the first of many girls-only trips. The rest, they say, is history as "Double Trouble" soon became an annual event. With more than 40+ lifetime trips between them, they have stayed at most of the resorts and dined at many of the wonderful restaurants of Walt Disney World. They have experienced numerous special events throughout the years including Epcot's Flower & Garden Festival, The Food & Wine Festival, Star Wars Weekend, Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. Lynn recently introduced Maureen to the joys of cruising... Disney-style!
About Maureen...
Maureen Austin is a native Floridian. Born in Miami, she has lived all over the Sunshine State, including Orlando. Having worked at Walt Disney World in many capacities, Maureen is a firm believer in the Disney way of doing things - including providing exceptional service to all of her clients, no matter where their travels may take them.
Maureen is married with five children, two of whom have special needs. She travels to Walt Disney World often with her family and also with friends. Her experiences with special needs travel are first hand and she can provide families with unique assistance in this regard as she has been there and done that!
Having graduated from the College of Disney Knowledge, Maureen is able to provide assistance in planning vacations to all Disney Destinations. In additional, Maureen can also assist with other vacation destinations and cruises. Her own personal travels include Europe, California, Utah and New York to name a few.
A message board moderator for PassPorter, Maureen enjoys sharing her own personal experiences as well as professional knowledge with thousands of other Disney fans. She has also served as a peer editor for PassPorter's Guide to Walt Disney World Resort and is a frequent contributor to the PassPorter weekly newsletter. Writing about her own Disney travels in trip reports on the PassPorter boards is another activity she enjoys.
Maureen is also a kindergarten teacher and she and her family currently live in Arkansas. In her spare time, Maureen enjoys traveling and keeping track of her favorite college football teams.
...About Lynn
Lynn was born and raised in idyllic Chester County, Pennsylvania and still makes her home there today. She is a married mom of two who is fortunate to have a family who loves everything Disney almost as much as she does.
Discovering the magic of Walt Disney World later in life, Lynn quickly made up for lost time with many trips! Disney World is ever-changing and no two trips are ever alike. From value resorts to deluxe, multi-family trips to girls-only, she has experienced the many different sides, seasons (and crowd levels) that Disney has to offer. Planning is half the fun of any Disney vacation and Lynn has many helpful hints, tips and suggestions for making your vacation one that great memories are made of. Also a message board moderator for PassPorter, she hopes you'll drop by the boards and say "hi!"
Cruising is another passion and she can highly recommend the Disney Cruise Line as a fantastic vacation for both families and couples, both young and young-at-heart. A graduate of the College of Disney Knowledge, Lynn is also working towards her Accredited Cruise Counselor certification. She is proud to be a member of the peer-review team for both the PassPorter Cruise Line and Walt Disney World planning guides.
Any free time she has is spent working in her garden, on mosaic projects and learning Italian! Un sogno è un desiderio rende il tuo cuore... A dream is a wish your heart makes!
